At Beau Joubert, we like to think that wine might have tasted a bit like our Ambassador, representing everything we love about winemaking. The Ambassador combines rich currant and red cherry overtones with subtle, lingering notes of mint and plum. Matured for 16 months in select, small, oak barrels, this blend finishes with a touch of leather and pencil shavings which lends itself to an unparalleled drinkability while maintaining the complexity every good Ambassador should have. Whether served now or in 10 years, The Ambassador is the perfect wine for all of life’s new ventures. Best served at 18°C (65°F)

The classic blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, all matured for 24 months in new small French oak barrels, is Beau Joubert’s flagship selection. Black currant and red cherries infuse elegantly with plum, mint and fruitcake flavours. Lingering on the back palate are subtle mint, leather and smoky pencil shaving flavours. The stern oak maturation lends firm, yet smooth, tannins and excellent structure to this wine. The intense fruit, grippy tannins and balanced acid make this extremely complex wine wonderfully accessible now but also allows for 10 years of cellaring.
